Introducting the our new Zuma Jay Midlenth - the Fiddlestick!

The Fiddlestick is a semi-progressive mid-length, meaning it's the perfect balance between a mini-mal and a more higher performance mid-length. This board is perfect for someone that finds an introductory mini-mal too cumbersome and wants something more progressive to get some nice turns on, but still having a nice amount of float and wave catching ability to it.

It features more of a funboard nose going into a thinned out rail line, going down to nice hard edge on the tail for release.

This board is designed for people progressing either from a long board or softboard and they want their first mid-length, but they want something that's going to be interesting to surf. It's going to be more progressive to surf than a classic mini mal.

The fin setup is a centre longboard fin with opional side bites optional. Surfing as a single fin loosens up the board to get maximum maneuverability whilst adding side bites give more drive and hold.

The underside features rolled bottom V in the nose going to flat V in the middle section, and then through the tail it goes into a concave. The rolled V helps the board progress through the water as you're paddling. It splits the water, makes the board have a nice soft feel as you're paddling and also if you're dealing with chop, it divides the water nicely and makes the board glide through the water. Also as you turn it lifts these rails out so that the board is easy to turn with without the risk of catching the rails. Also having a narrow nose compared to a fuller board also helps in turning.

With the rails being thinner, this makes the board hold better when you're doing your bottom and top turns, and so the board just feels more progressive and more responsive coming through to the tail.

The concave in the tail drives the water between the fins and beside the single fin giving the board more drive so you get that forward speed as you're going down the fast part of the wave.

The pintail gives you nice hold on barrelling waves with the extended rail line and also gives smoother transitions when turning.

Features a drill-through leash plug which is an old school way of doing the leash plug making it a stronger fixture point than a normal plug.
